Ideally you want a clock and table that compliment each other to the degree that they both add something to the appearance of each other. A table that looks nice can bring the best out of a coffee table clock and the same goes for a nice looking clock. Clocks which have a chime mechanism o them are a nice feature to have on a coffee table clock these add a certain amount of atmosphere and dignity to a clock and can give a clock the appearance of being a more expensive time piece than it is.
By first dreaming about the different things you want it to do for you you can then start to focus on what it should look like and how stylish it should be compared to how functional. And this is an important measure to consider because a round wood coffee table will often take on many different functions. So really if you want one that is great for the kids to draw on eat dinner off but you still want it to look sleek cool and minimal then there will be a trade off. And if you don't consider all the aspects before you take a trip to the new designer furniture store you may come back with a very desirable but basically impractical piece of furniture.
Style & Colour. There are many styles available from very modern to traditional styles look for something that complements the room and other furnishings and a classic glass top will generally be quite safe for those who are unsure. In terms of material timber works well if you have small timber elements in the rooms it helps to tie the room together. If you have a large amount of timber already though it can become overwhelmingly 'matchy-matchy' easily if you select a matching coffee table break it up with glass with timber legs or a complimentary timber accessory on top of a poly or glass table.
Coffee tables have been around for almost as long as any home furniture item. They continue to be a popular and necessary item. Although you may find some homes that don't have coffee tables the majority of homes consider coffee tables as important in the living room as the sofa. Whether they're used to hold a cup of coffee or soda for a decorative item or to rest your feet they are a staple of the living room setting. Wooden coffee tables have always given a look of beauty regardless of what style of furniture you have in your home. Contemporary French provincial Spanish modern casual rustic or whichever style you choose will always be complimented with the addition of wood furniture.
